Every guide on Baccarat Bro is written by a named specialist in its field, then reviewed and signed off by Baccarat Bro, our founder and editor-in-chief. From there, native translators carry each piece into Thai, Vietnamese, Malay, Indonesian and Lao, while a dedicated Korean team writes the Korean edition natively, from scratch. No anonymous content, no faceless “experts.”
The writers
Each guide is written by the specialist whose field it touches. Five writers cover the site between them:
Aaron Tan — Quantitative analyst
Aaron spent a decade modelling risk in finance before turning to casino mathematics. He writes our odds, house-edge and calculator content — every figure sourced and checked twice.
Angelo Reyes — PhD in mathematics
Angelo holds a doctorate in mathematics and has taught probability at university level in Manila. He writes our strategy and betting-system guides, making sure every claim about why systems fail stands on a proof, not an opinion.
Sofia Alcantara — Bankroll & money-management writer
Sofia is a personal-finance writer specialising in money management. She writes our bankroll guidance and planning tools with one aim: helping you play within your means and make your money last.
Jessica Ng — iGaming reviewer
Jessica is an iGaming journalist who has tested online casinos across Asia. She writes our casino reviews with a reviewer’s skepticism — reading the fine print and flagging anything an operator would rather you missed.
Michelle Koh — Responsible-gambling advocate
Michelle works at the intersection of gambling and consumer protection. She writes our responsible-gambling guidance and shapes our review standards, keeping the reader’s wellbeing ahead of any commercial interest.

Baccarat Bro — Daniel Tay, ex-baccarat dealer & editor-in-chief
Baccarat Bro is the pen name of Daniel Tay, a former casino baccarat dealer from Singapore who has dealt and played the game since 2003. Daniel spent years dealing punto banco at an integrated resort — thousands of shoes, seen from the other side of the table. Today he reads, fact-checks and signs off on every guide before it publishes. He’s the reality check on each page: if a claim wouldn’t hold up at a real table, it doesn’t go live. His rule for the site is the same one he gives players: no “winning secrets” — just how the game actually works.
Our editorial standards
One writer, named reviewers, named translators — the same principles on every page: claims are sourced, the maths is honest, and commercial relationships never shape the advice. The full process is documented on our methodology page, and our broader mission is set out on the about page. Every article is dated and bylined so you always know who wrote it, who checked it, and how current it is.
